The Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita Hypercar

If you are looking for a car that hits you in the eye at first glance, then you would probably be looking at the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita Hypercar. Classified as a mid-engined sports car, this is yet another stunning creation by the Swedish automobile manufacturer, Koenigsegg which aims at stealing the show once more with a new version so advanced that it transcends the supercar category and becomes a hypercar. With a price tag of $4.8 million, the CCXR Trevita special edition is no child’s play – it’s the real thing!

Bodywork

The car is a two-door, two-seater car, and it comes with a hardtop that can be stowed under the front hood with a glass roof. The body is composed of a unique carbon fiber/Kevlar weave material with sandwich reinforcements which give the body a shimmering white finish, creating a startling silvery-white sparkle when sunlight hits it. The effect is as if a million diamonds are sparkling at the same time! In fact, the Swedish word “trevita” means “three whites” in English. With aerodynamic but aesthetically pleasing bodywork, the CCXR Trevita is definitely a car to be looked at.

Chassis

Carbon fiber is also used in the chassis and the aluminum honeycomb fuel tanks offer the best weight distribution and safety. Maximum comfort is assured through gas hydraulic shocks, and electronically adjustable ride height. The front and rear suspension consist of double wishbones, and the shocks are pushrod operated.

Engine

A V8 engine with a displacement of 4800 CC and centrifugal superchargers with a response system gives you a top speed of 254 mph with an acceleration rate of 0 to 62 mph in just 2.9 seconds, makes it a hypercar to reckon with.

Brakes

The brakes are ventilated ceramic disk type, reinforced with 6-piston alloy calipers and are power assisted.

Version

To call the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita a special edition would be the best way to describe this hypercar, as there are only three existing pieces in the world. The third one has been bought by none other than the world-famous former American professional boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr. He posted the following on a social media site:

“My new 4.8 Million dollar car. $4,800,000.00 Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita supercar… this is No.2 of 2. In addition, it is the only USA Spec TREVITA Built in the World.”

This is a fact, because according to Koenigsegg, they have only made three examples of this version, with the number three actually embedded into the moniker.

Exclusiveness and fame are intertwined with each other. This is clearly illustrated by the fact that the CCXR Trevita hypercar, one of the most exclusive cars in the world is now owned by one of the most renowned boxers of our time. In fact, other than Floyd Mayweather Jr., nothing is publicly known about the owners of the other two examples of the CCXR Trevitas from Koenigsegg. This just goes to prove that the Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita hypercar is in a class of its own, truly reserved for some really special people.
